Racial Equity Action Plan
In 2019, Mayor London Breed signed racial equity legislation mandating the development of a city-wide racial equity framework and the creation of the Office of Racial Equity. As part of this legislation, each department was required to create a Racial Equity Action Plan using a template and guidance provided by the Office of Racial Equity. The Office of the City Administrator created a Racial Equity Action Plan covering its 25 departments and divisions, while the Department of Technology and Public Works created their own plans.
