PILOT PROGRAM TO REQUIRE FOOT PATROLS IN CRIME-IMPACTED AREAS: Presentation, discussion, and possible action on File No. 060700, Ordinance adopting Section 10A.1 of the San Francisco Administrative Code to establish a one-year pilot program requiring foot patrols in crime-impacted areas within the boundaries of Northern and Park District Stations, and require reporting and review of the effectiveness of the foot patrols. 10. LOWER HAIGHT STREET ALCOHOL RESTRICTED USE DISTRICT: Presentation, discussion, and possible action on File No. 060537, Ordinance adding Section 784 to the Planning Code to create a Lower Haight Street Alcohol Restricted Use District prohibiting liquor establishments and providing for a three year sunset provision; amending Zoning Map Number 7SU of the City and County of San Francisco to indicate the boundaries of the Lower Haight Street Alcohol Restricted Use District, and making findings, including environmental findings and findings of consistency with the priority policies of Planning Code Section 101.1 and the General Plan. ORDINANCE TO DELETE SOME OF THE DATA CURRENTLY REQUIRED IN THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT'S ANNUAL DOWNTOWN PLAN MONITORING REPORT: Presentation, discussion, and possible action on File No. 060698, Ordinance amending the San Francisco Administrative Code by amending Chapter 10E to delete some of the data currently required in the Planning Department's annual Downtown Plan Monitoring report that details the effects of downtown growth, to change the date for submittal of the annual report to the Board of Supervisors, and to include data in the required five-year report. 18. CHINATOWN VISITOR RETAIL ZONING CHANGES: Presentation, discussion, and possible action on File No. 060533, Ordinance amending the San Francisco Planning Code by amending Section 811.47b of the Retail Sales and Services section of Table 811 to allow other entertainment as a principal use on the first and second stories in the Chinatown Visitor Retail Zoning District and by adding Section 811.47b to the Specific Provisions for Chinatown Visitor Retail District Table 811 noting that the other entertainment use must be in conjunction with an existing full-service restaurant; adopting findings, including environmental findings and findings of consistency with the General Plan and the Priority Policies of Planning Code Section 101.1(b). Cell Phone and/or Sound-Producing Electronic Device Usage at Hearings
Effective January 21, 2001, the Board of Supervisors amended the Sunshine Ordinance by adding the following provision: The ringing of and use of cell phones, pagers and similar sound-producing electronic devices are prohibited at this meeting. Please be advised that the Chair may order the removal from the meeting room of any person(s) responsible for the ringing or use of a cell phone, pager, or other similar sound-producing electronic devices.
Disability Access Policy
Accessible seating for persons with disabilities (including those using wheelchairs) is available. The closest accessible BART Station is the Civic Center station located at the intersection of Market, Hyde and Grove Streets. Accessible MUNI lines serving the Veterans Building are 42 Downtown Loop and the #71 Haight/Noriega and the F line to Market and Van Ness and the Metro stations at Van Ness and Market and at Civic Center. For more information about MUNI accessible services call 923-6142. Accessible parking in the vicinity of the Veterans Building adjacent to Davies Hall and the War Memorial Complex.
